Nice healthy white roots on a Cos lettuce ready to harvest.

A simple hydroponic system to grow lettuces, leafy greens and herbs.

The aluminium stand (90 cm tall) is an extra $60.00

Select a sunny location, fill tank with water to within 2 cms (one inch) of the top, add nutrient solution, put seedlings into the netted pots using the hydroton provided and place pots into the holes in the lid.

In summer once every three days top up with water. In summer anticipate the loose leaf fancy lettuces will be ready to eat in three to four weeks.

After a month drain out the solution and put on your garden as it will still contain some useful nutrients. Add fresh water to the tank and add new nutrient ready for the next crop.
