Umbelliferae ( fragrant or aromatic ) crops should be in a different hydroponic system from other plants this family includes parsley, fennel, sweet fennel, parsnip, carrot, corriander and dill. Onion family members must also be grown apart from other crops. Most other common herbs and vegetables appear to be compatible.

Companion plants

Anise and Coriander grow well together.
Asparagus likes tomatoes and parsley.
Basil likes tomatoes and dislikes Rue.
Beans like Cucumbers,Carrots and Savory, but do not grow well with
Onions and Sorrel.
Cabbage dislikes Dill, Chamomile, Sage,Mints and Hyssop.
Caraway dislikes Fennel.
Carrots like Chives, Peas and Raddishes.
Cauliflower likes Celery herb.
Chervil likes Raddishes.
Celery likes Leeks and Tomatoes.
Elderberry is the mother herb who protects the garden.
Grapes like Hyssop.
Melons & Cucumbers like beans & Raddishes.
Onions like Chamomile and Savory, but will retard the growth of legumes.
Peas like Carrots, Cucumber, Corn and Turnips, but dislike all the Onion family
Potatoes like Beans, Cabbages and Peas, but do not grow well with Tomatoes.
Pumpkins like Corn and dislike Potatoes.
Rosemary and Sage grow well together.
Strawberries like Borage, Spinach and Lettuce, but dislike Cabbages.
Tomatoes like Basil and French Marigolds, but do not grow well near Fennel.
Turnips like Peas.
Valerian helps most vegetables
Wormwood retards most vegetables
Yarrow increases the aromatic quality of all fragrant plants.
